Research

Black Mathematicians conduct research within individual schools as well as school districts.  This research could consists of investigating factors that are contributing to low performance of African American students in mathematics.  

Some of the main scholarship used in our work comes from the fields of math education and multicultural education, and include such scholars as Na’ilah Suad Nasir, Jo Boaler, Eric Gutstein, James A. Banks, Geneva Gay, Gloria Ladson-Billings, and Christine E. Sleeter.
